APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

 

  1. An application form is sent to anyone who requests one regardless of the number of applications already on file in this office or whether a vacancy exists. Each applicant is required to provide all the information requested on the application.
  2. The following should be submitted with your application or sent to this office as soon after submission of your application as possible.

 

a)      A high school diploma or GED

b)      College transcripts from each college or university attended

c)      Placement fill from college placement office if available

 

  1. You must forward a copy of the personal reference form to 3 references on your application. Be sure to include an envelope that is stamped and addressed to Chattahoochee County School System.  Send a reference form to at least two immediate past supervisors (principals, superintendents, curriculum director).  You must have at least two completed forms returned before we can grant an interview.

 

  1. An application can not be considered until all of the above information has been provided.
  2. Applications will remain on file for 3 years from the date of application. A written request must be submitted to this office to renew your application prior to the expiration date or your application will be destroyed.
  3. Please advise this office of any changes in name, address, telephone, or certification status.
  4. Your completed application should be mailed to the address shown above.

 

INTERVIEWS:

 

      When this office has received your completed application and all supporting documents, we will consider your qualifications in light of our needs.  An interview may then be scheduled based on an anticipated vacancy in your area of certification.

 

CERTIFICATION:

 

It is your responsibility to secure a valid Georgia certificate.  Substitute teachers are not required to be certified, and paraprofessionals will be licensed according to transcripts when hired.  If you have a certification question, contact:
